Bay Area ‘Burb Lures Car Shoppers With Incentive

Maybe $500 will bring you to Tracy

Would you be more willing to buy a new car if you knew you'd be getting a $500 gift card in return? The city of Tracy hopes you will.

The Tracy City Council is offering the new incentive in the hopes that will pay off in the future.

As part of a local stimulus package, a $500,000 plan was approved that will provide a gift card to anyone who purchases a vehicle at the Tracy Auto Mall.

So, maybe the city's annual Dry Bean Festival isn't enough to lure you but, add a gift card and who knows, that might just be the formula to pull in potential car buyers to the Bay Area 'burb.

The gift cards could be used at any retail shop or restaurant in Tracy.
