From Rock to Reggae, Marin Fair Pleases All

Classic rockers and Rastafarians alike should be pleased with this year's lineup at the Marin County Fair.

The fair opens July 1 with Creedence Clearwater Revisited, a band formed by two of the original members of Creedence Clearwater Revival. While the original CCR hails from El Cerrito, they are known for their Southern swamp-rock sound.

Pull out the wide belts and 80s hair for Berlin, who perform on July 2. The band is best known for their hit "Take My Breath Away," which was featured in Top Gun.

Bob Marley's backup band, The Wailers, take to the stage July 3. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band also plays on that day.

Other performers include Hot Buttered Rum, Sha Na Na and Los Lobos, who play on the fair's last day.

All the concerts are free with paid admission to the fair.

This year's theme is Cool Green Fun.
