SoCal Wife Chimes in After Man Wins Lotto

A lucky California Lottery player has claimed his Mega Millions ticket worth $244,659.  The man - who requested anonymity - selected his own numbers on the winning ticket.

When asked what he planned to do with his winnings, he said he plans to "put the money in the bank," lotto officials said. His wife, however, had her own plans. She responded seconds later - "he's going to take me on a trip somewhere."

The ticket was purchased for the February 17 draw at the Vons Grocery located at 13439 Camino Canada in El Cajon.

This is the second Mega Millions win in San Diego this year.  A 24-year old insurance agent moved from New Jersey six months ago and bought a winning ticket at a 7-Eleven on Cass Street near Loring Street in Pacific Beach – worth $47 million. The city was caught up in the mystery of who bought the winning ticket because it took Todd Moitz several days to claim the prize.
