Bear Cubs Captured on Camera Poking Around Lake Tahoe Cabin

Make yourself at home.

That thought might have been running through the minds of two curious bear cubs that apparently climbed through a window and proceeded to poke around a cabin near Lake Tahoe Saturday night.

Tahoe Vista homeowner Bryan Kengott captured the cubs on a surveillance camera set up inside his cabin. One bear could be seen sniffing around an open refrigerator while the other checks out what appears to be a living room.

Kengott told NBC News that one of the bears didn't break the presumably locked window in order to get into the cabin. He said he believes the bear somehow "flexed the window enough to get the lock past the catch."

Kengott on Tuesday added that the bears have tried every night since Saturday to bust into the cabin again.

"It's crazy how persistent they have become," Kengott wrote in an email, adding that they haven't caused any damage yet.
