Chargers to Conduct School Supplies Drive at Training Camp Practices

The Los Angeles Chargers will conduct a school supplies drive during their training camp practices Saturday and Sunday.

Items sought include backpacks, pens, pencils, notebooks, folders, highlighters, crayons and glue. All items collected will be taken to Los Angeles and Orange County Boys & Girls Clubs.

Both practices at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa are scheduled for 10 a.m.- noon.

Fans may pre-register for free training camp tickets at chargers.com/camp or register in person at the entrance to the complex.

All bleacher seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be four other community days during training camp.

Youth and high school football players are encouraged to wear their team jerseys Monday. Parents can enter a drawing for tickets to the Aug. 18 preseason game against the New Orleans Saints.

A blood drive will be held from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Thursday's joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams. Fans can register for the blood drive at chargers.com/camp.

Dogs from Priceless Pet Rescue will be available for adoption Aug. 4.

Game-issued jerseys and other team paraphernalia will be available for purchase at the Aug. 15 joint practice with the Saints with proceeds benefiting the Chargers Community Foundation.
