Dodger Stadium Ball Girl Snags 108-MPH Foul Ball in Front of Fan's Face

A Dodger Stadium ball girl received one of the biggest cheers of the afternoon Sunday when she made a back-handed snag on a screaming line drive headed for a fan seated on the third base line.

The foul ball off the bat of Arizona's Brandon Drury was clocked at 108.7 mph, according to Major League Baseball's Statcast system. The ball girl's quick reaction shielded at least one fan and his beer.

Even Vin Scully was impressed.

"She made a great play on that foul ball," Scully said during the broadcast. "Got the loudest roar in quite a few innings."

The Dodgers went on to win, 14-3.
