Ten days after the vote, a Los Angeles County measure asking for a quarter-cent sales tax increase to pay for homeless services has passed.
A late surge from mail-in votes pushed Measure H past the two-thirds threshold it needed on Friday.
The measure finished with 69 percent of about 840,000 votes cast.
The measure, which pushes the sales tax to 9.5 percent for most of the county, will provide rental subsidies, case management and mental health services for homeless people.
Mayor Eric Garcetti said the passage meant it was "a great day for Los Angeles" but that leaders in the county "have to make it work."
Garcetti easily won a second term in the March 7 election.
