Man Runs with Wooden Spikes, Breaks into Church: PD

Police say they found the man playing the church's piano

A man was taken into police custody after a reported display of "erratic" behavior and a church break-in around the Loma Portal area.

According to San Diego Police, witnesses called 911 at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday to report the man running around the 3000 block of Evergreen Street with wooden spikes in his hands.

Police say he then broke into a Korean church and began damaging things. 

When officers arrived, they say they found the man playing the church's piano and acting in an "erratic manner." 

The man was soon arrested. No injuries have been reported in the incident, but property has been damaged.

The SDPD will continue investigating at the scene.
