Soon-to-be-retiring police service dog Bravo looked prouder than any other pup after discovering a hidden compartment filled with 53 pounds of drugs in Tustin, police said Monday.
Bravo and his handler made the bust Nov. 8 after they were called to check out a truck.
Bravo alerted officers right away to the inside of the truck, Tustin police said.
After officers investigated where Bravo was sniffing, they discovered a hidden compartment filled with dozens of packages of illegal narcotics weighing in at 53.6 pounds.
Bravo, a veteran as drug-sniffing dogs go, is nearing retirement, but still has a nose for news.
"We would like to congratulate Bravo and Officer Barraza on a job well done!" police said.
The Facebook post sharing Bravo's bust had more than 600 likes by late Monday.
