Wragg Fire Near Napa County Burns 8,051 Acres, 87% Contained

Wragg Fire continues to spread rapidly on Friday burning down 8,051 acres near Napa County, per Cal Fire.

The massive fire, which started on July 22, is now 87 percent contained. Over a thousand fire personnel are on scene battling the blaze.

Two outbuildings have been destroyed and four others were damaged from the flames. Cal Fire said 136 structures remain threatened.

Cal Fire Spokeswoman Suzanne Blankenship said on Wednesday that fire crews are worried that triple digit temperatures could cause the fire to grow.

No evacuations have been made, but some roads still remain closed.

Mix Canyon Road is only open to residents with identification at Pleasants Valley Road, according to Cal Fire. Lake Solano campground is also closed due to fire equipment access.

Cal Fire is expecting the fire to be fully contained by August 3.
