A man was fatally stabbed during a fight over a parking spot in Monterey Park early Saturday, police said.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of College View Drive where the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During a preliminary investigation, police discovered the man was in an argument with two other men over a parking space. As the altercation progressed, "a physical altercation occurred in which the victim was stabbed," Monterey Park police said in a statement.
The investigation was ongoing Saturday morning. All of the people involved had been detained for questioning and no other suspects were being sought, police said.
