Democrat Talks Green Jobs in San Jose

Three of the Bay Area's most powerful politicians spent time campaigning in Silicon Valley Tuesday.

The event was a campaign event for Sen. Barbara Boxer who appeared alongside fellow Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Rep. Zoe Lofgren of San Jose.  The three visited a solar manufacturing plant in San Jose.

Boxer highlighted her approach to climate change and the environment.  She spoke the Democrats' line that says state legislation cutting greenhouse gas levels could help make California become a leader in green jobs.

Boxer's opponent, Republican Carly Fiorina, says the bill would eliminate jobs even as the state attempts to recover from the recession. Fiorina also says states can't act alone to stanch climate change.
