A South Bay hospital is closing earlier than expected.
Tenet Healthcare Corporation announced today it plans to close Community Hospital of Los Gatos on April 10.
El Camino Hospital plans to take ownership of Community Hospital June 1.
Tenent had previously announced plans to let Community Hospital's lease expire in May, citing costs associated with upgrading the aging facility.
More than 600 employees were notified of the earlier closing.
