Cadillac Driver Fires Gun at SF Police Officer

Hazardous duty extends to off-duty for one San Francisco police officer.

An unknown man driving a Cadillac fired a handgun at an off-duty SFPD cop as he was leaving work at Bayview Station early this morning, according to SF Weekly.

The cop was in his personal car at Silver Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard when the suspect, described only as a black man, approached and started shooting. The cop drove off, only to have the Caddy-driving cop-hater give chase and continue shooting, according to the newspaper.

Somehow the chase ended. The police officer was not injured, though several windows of his car were shot out.

The suspect has not been apprehended. No other information is available.
