A person is in critical condition Wednesday night after being stabbed earlier in the day in Oakland, police said.
The stabbing occurred at 5 p.m. in the 8400 block of Edes Avenue in East Oakland, not far from the Oakland Coliseum.
A citizen took the victim to a hospital, police said.
