San Jose police were investigating a shooting that left one person dead on Wednesday.
The shooting happened at about 1:45 p.m. in the 3300 block of Holly Drive in East San Jose, police said. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Officers and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
It was the 30th homicide in the city this year, police said.
Information about suspects or a motive was not immediately known.
