100 Square-Foot Trailer in SF Asks $525 Per Month Rent, Plus Private Location to Park

A 100 square-foot trailer is available for rent for $525 per month in San Francisco, provided you already have a private place to park it for a year.

According to an ad posted to Craigslist, the renovated 1959 Airstream trailer, which has been featured in design magazine "Dwell," is available to rent for 12 months. Renters must pre-pay three months rent and submit a security deposit.

There is room inside for a bed, desk and refrigerator, but not much else. No bathroom, according to the listing.

Owner Andreas Stravropolous, a 35-year-old architect, revealed to SFGate that he will be traveling for a year and seeks to find a renter who owns or has access to the ideal off-street place to park it while he is away.

In the ad, Stravropolous says it's perfect for an extra bedroom for guests or a roommate or "even as an Airbnb rental on your property."

He's gotten a lot of inappropriate inquiries.

"I get a lot of stupid emails from people who don't read the ad," he told the publication.
