1 Dead, 1 Injured Following Shooting at South San Francisco Park

Police have identified a 19-year-old South San Francisco resident as a person of interest in the shooting.

Police are searching for a 19-year-old man wanted in connection to a shooting in South San Francisco that left one dead and another injured.

The shooting was reported just after 3 p.m. Monday at Orange Memorial Park, located at West Orange Avenue and North Canal Street. Officials said two adults were shot.

One of the victims, a man, was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The man succumbed to his injuries late Monday, police said. The other victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police have identified the person of interest as South San Francisco-resident Cristian Omar Cruz, who is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone who knows Cruz's location is asked to call 911.

An investigation is ongoing.
