20-Year-Old San Rafael Man Arrested in Vandalism Spree

A 20-year-old San Rafael man was arrested after police received numerous reports of vandalism throughout the North Bay city.

Suspect Timothy Goetze allegedly used spray paint to tag at least nine businesses from the Miracle Mile to Loch Lomand, resulting in damages over $6,500, according to the San Rafael Police Department.

Officers canvased the area, attempting to locate the suspect, and found surveillance footage which captured the suspect and his vehicle.

The vehicle license plate was then used to identify the registered owner and officials were able to arrest Goetze. He was booked at Marin County Jail, police said.
