24-Year-Old ‘Wanted Felon' Arrested in Morgan Hill: Police

Morgan Hill police arrested a 24-year-old man they said is a wanted felon early Wednesday morning after he had been hiding in a friend’s house the day before.

Police identified the man as Alfredo Aldape, who was wanted on two felony burglary warrants out of San Jose, was and booked into the Santa Clara County Main jail.

The saga began on Tuesday about 1 p.m. when police learned that a wanted felon was possibly hiding in the 100 block of Manor Court, according to the department’s Facebook page. Police figured out he was at a friend’s house.

 Around 6 p.m., the a SWAT team comprised of Morgan Hill and Gilroy officers responded to the scene and called on Aldape to surrender, but he disobeyed their orders, police said.

Police evacuated the neighborhood about 9 p.m.

And he was taken into custody "without incident" about 1 a.m.
