3-Alarm Fire Injures 1 in SF Tenderloin

Fire fighters said the injury was not life threatening

A three-alarm fire is burning at a building near San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood this morning, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 10 a.m. in an apartment building at 540 Leavenworth St., according to fire department officials.

There was one injury, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. It was considered non life threatening.

The fire was on all five floors of the building, according to the fire department. The building has been evacuated.

The fire began in the stairwell of the building, according to firefighters on the scene.
