The forward progress has been stopped on a vegetation fire Monday afternoon in Vallejo shortly after a fourth alarm was struck, fire officials said.
The officials said on Twitter at 5:04 p.m. that the forward progress had been stopped on the fire burning near eastbound state Highway 37 and Interstate Highway 80.
The transition road from westbound Highway 80 to westbound Highway 37 is closed, officials with the California Highway Patrol said. The transition road is expected to reopen at about 5:30 p.m.
