A 20-foot rebar tower fell at a construction site in Fremont Wednesday morning, leaving three people injured including one critically, fire officials said.
Crews responded at 8:57 a.m. to the accident on Durham Road. Fremont fire officials on Twitter described the accident as involving an approximately "20ft rebar tower that fell."
According to officials, the rebar tower fell over with some workers "clipped" to it.
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health has been notified of the accident and will handle the investigation into it, fire officials said.
