Three officers with the Oakland Police Department have been placed on paid administrative leave as a result of a sexual misconduct investigation, a spokeswoman for the department said in a statement Wednesday.
"The Oakland Police Department will not tolerate misconduct of any kind from its employees," Officer Johnna Watson said. "The Oakland Police Department holds all employees accountable for their actions on and off duty."
Swift, fair and objective internal investigations are a priority for the department, according to Watson.
Further details about the investigation, including the names of the officers, could not immediately be confirmed.
