3 Rescued After Getting Stuck on Rock, Rising Water at Pescadero State Beach

Authorities rescued three men after they were stranded on a rock Saturday evening at Pescadero State Beach, Cal Fire officials said.

According to Cal Fire, they responded to the rescue just after 7 p.m. at Pescadero State Beach.

Officials said the three men, between the ages of 18 and 20, found themselves stranded on a rock about 100 yards off shore.

Cal Fire officials said the men were walking on shore as the tide rose. That's when they became stranded on the rock.

The U.S. Coast Guard and the California Highway Patrol brought in their helicopters to assist with Cal Fire.

According to Cal Fire, the U.S. Coast Guard rescued one of the men by hoisting him to safety. While the other two men were rescued by California State Parks' swimmers by using a board.
