49ers Holding Playoff Tickets for Real Fans

Season ticket holders will have sole rights to tickets through December.

The seats at Candlestick Park are no longer empty or filled with Dallas Cowboys' fans. Winning will do that for a team.

And with the San Francisco 49ers having already booked their date with the post season, the team is getting ready to sell playoff tickets to the 49er Faithful.

Jim Harbaugh and his boys will host at least one playoff game at Candlestick Park, depending on how the final standings shake out, on either the weekend of January 7-8 or 14-15.

Most expect the Green Bay Packers to run away with the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which would ensure them a first round bye in the playoffs.

The 49ers currently hold the No. 2 seed, which would also guarantee them a first round bye and a home playoff game on the Jan. 14 weekend.

But with the New Orleans Saints hot on San Francisco's trail, things could change.

Regardless, the 49ers are giving season ticket holders and 2012 season ticket deposit holders exclusive rights to buy tickets for up to two home playoff games through the end of December.

Then after the new year, the team will sell the remaining tickets to the general public.

As an added bonus, team President and CEO Jed York announced that the team won't raise ticket prices next season.
