49ers Search for Singers

Team wants Bay Area residents to sing national athem at home games.

So you think you can sing? The San Francisco 49ers want you to prove it by performing one of the most technically difficult songs to sing on tape.

The reward? The opportunity to show off your vocals in front of more than 60,000 people at a 49ers' home game next season.

The team is searching for local signers who want to perform the national anthem at home games next season.

Interested contestants must live in the Bay Area and then submit a video of their national anthem performance and a 5X7 head shot by June 22 on the 49ers' website.

Finalists will be selected on July 13 and required to perform at a live audition on July 21 at  the Celebration Plaza of California’s Great America Theme Park.

Winners will join the ranks of Huey Lewis and the News and Brian McKnight who have recently sung the national anthem at 49ers' games.
