9 Evacuated From Fire at Downtown SJ Victorian

Nine people have to find another place to live after an early morning house fire Friday.

The two-alarm blaze was reported around 5 a.m. in downtown San Jose at a Victorian style home near the corner of E. St. John and N. 12th streets, not far from San Jose State University.

The San Jose Fire Department tweeted pictures of flames shooting through the roof of the house.

The fire got so big, crews had to call for a second alarm. They were able to knock it down at 5:41 a.m.

Everyone inside made it out safely.
