ASPCA Releases App for Missing Pets Amidst Fourth of July

Pets scared by the boom of fireworks have long been known to hide and even run away--but now, there is an app for that.

A new smartphone app from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals helps owners find their lost pets.

July 5 is reportedly the busiest day of the year at U.S. animal shelters, as they fill with lost dogs and cats awaiting reunions.

Now, the ASPCA app can help you set up a tactical search plan to avoid that day-after-fireworks ritual.

The app can also help prepare for disasters and other stressful events in advance.

The app can be downloaded on the ASPCA web site.
