Woman May Be Connected to Airbnb Robbery

A 19-year-old Belmont woman who has been arrested on separate charges, is being held as a person of interest connected to a recent Airbnb apartment ransacking.

Faith Clifton was arrested in June shortly after the incident was described in a blog post by a woman named "EJ," reports the SF Examiner.

"They smashed a hole through a locked closet door, and found the passport, cash, credit card and grandmother’s jewelry I had hidden inside. They took my camera, my iPod, an old laptop, and my external backup drive filled with photos, journals... my entire life,”  "EJ" wrote in the post.

San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparaza said it's unknown at this time if Clifton is the person who rented the apartment, and that the District Attorney's Office has yet ot file charges, pending further investigation.

Clifton was arrested, and charged with posession of stolen property, counterfeiting equipment and a forged driver's license, to which she pled guilty. She is expected to be sentenced on Friday.
