Alameda County Fair Begins With Last Live Cattle Drive Through an Urban Area

The Alameda County Fair gets underway Friday in Pleasanton with events such as a cattle drive through the city, organizers said.

The cattle drive will begin at 10:30 a.m. with over 150 steers and entertainers tromping down Main Street.

Organizers said it is the last opportunity for people to see a live cattle drive through an urban area.

The event is free to the public. The rest of the fair gets underway at 11 a.m.
