Oakland police have issued an Amber Alert for a 16-year-old African-American girl who police say was abducted around 10:00 a.m. today.
The victim's name is Ciara Thorton. She has Black hair, brown eyes, 140 lbs, standing about 5'1".
The alleged abductor is a 57-year-old man named Richard Ashley, who may be driving a blue Hyundai, with license plate: 5HXF433.
He is described as being African-American, black hair, 6'1", and approximately 270 lbs.
