American Red Cross Offers Help to Victims of Santa Rosa Fire

An American Red Cross center opened Sunday in Santa Rosa to help Sonoma County residents who were impacted by the Pocket, Tubbs and Nuns fires, American Red Cross officials said.

The center will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at 5297 Aero Drive every day during the same hours through Oct. 29.

Families affected by the fires can meet with American Red Cross caseworkers who will assess each family's needs, offer information about recovery and other agencies that can help and provide financial assistance to families who qualify.

American Red Cross officials are asking residents who come to the center to bring with them a utility bill or other proof that they lived in the area before the disaster.
