Amy Poehler Makes Directorial Debut in New Netflix Comedy

Get excited! A new, original comedy is coming to Netflix and it is starring the first ladies of comedy — one even taking over the director's chair.

Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph are just some of the stars taking center stage in "Wine Country," the story of a group of friends who take a weekend getaway to Napa to celebrate a 50th birthday.

Not only will Poehler star and produce the film, but she will be in the director’s chair, making her feature directorial debut.

"It's happening — Amy Poehler's directorial debut, Wine Country, is coming soon to Netflix!" Netflix tweeted Tuesday. "Starring Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Maya Rudolph, Emily Spivey and featuring Tina Fey. Get excited. Get real excited."

Poehler will work with familiar faces. The scriptwriters are Spivey, who Poehler has worked with on the NBC show "Parks and Recreation", and Liz Cackowski from SNL.

"Wine Country" is set to start production at the end of March in Los Angeles and Napa.
