An armed suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a Goodwill store in Concord Wednesday night before taking off on foot, according to police.

No one was injured during the armed robbery, which occurred at the Goodwill store located at 1659 Willow Pass Rd., but the male suspect managed to escape, police said.

The suspect walked into the store just before it closed at 8 p.m., hid inside and then appeared at about 8:23 p.m. as employees were counting cash, police said.

After stealing the money, the suspect ran through the nearby shopping center and escaped, according to police. He did drop some of the stolen money during his escape, but that money was later recovered.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s or 50s with a skinny build and medium height, police said. He was also described as having something dark over his face during the theft.
