A's Muscle Up to Take Down Astros Again

Chris Bassitt limited the Astros to three runs over five innings and got offensive production from Khris Davis and Chad Pinder as the A's beat the Astros 8-3 on Wednesday night.

Davis legged out his first triple of the season and drove in three runs, while Pinder hit his ninth homer and drove in three runs as well. Matt Chapman drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Josh Phegley provided an insurance run with a single to right in the top of the ninth.

Emilio Pagan, Ryan Dull and Ryan Buchter combined to pitch four scoreless inning in relief of Bassitt.

With the win, the A's move to 52-41 and go for the series win in Houston on Thursday.
