A popular Texas barbecue institution is preparing to give San Francisco a little taste.
Eater SF reports that Aaron Franklin, owner of Franklin Barbecue in Austin, is currently looking for a San Francisco location to host a few pop-up events in May.
Franklin's hours-long lines have been the subject of much media attention, including a profile on Anthony Bourdain's television series No Reservations.
The pop-up appearances in San Francisco are expected to be in similarly heavy demand: "Get in line now," advises SF Weekly.
Franklin Barbecue: A Meat-Smoking Manifesto will be published by San Francisco book company Ten Speed Press on April 7.
