A person was struck by a BART train at the Ashby station in Berkeley this afternoon, and the incident has caused major delays, a BART employee said.
The incident was reported at 12:48 p.m.
As of 1:20 p.m., trains were single-tracking through the Ashby station but weren't stopping there.
AC Transit has set up a bus bridge between the MacArthur and Downtown Berkeley BART stations.
The employee did not know the condition of the person who was hit by the train.
