BART is recovering from major delays in all directions along its Fremont line Monday afternoon following a medical emergency between the Lake Merritt and Fruitvale stations.
The transportation agency's initial report indicated that a train struck a person at the Lake Merritt Station late Monday morning. The person was later pronounced dead, according to BART.
