Blake Shelton, More Perform Benefit Concert for Okla.

The country superstar is joined by Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Usher and Miranda Lambert to help raise funds for victims of the deadly May 20 tornado in Oklahoma.

Country superstar and "The Voice" judge Blake Shelton is headlining the Healing in the Heartland relief benefit concert and telethon Wednesday night to support victims of last week's deadly tornado in Moore, Okla.

"Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy," Shelton said in a statement. "This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."

Other entertainers joining Shelton onstage at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in downtown Oklahoma City include Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Usher and Miranda Lambert, who is married to Shelton. Shelton's current "Voice" team — the Swon Brothers, Danielle Bradbery and Holly Tucker — are also attending, along with Team Usher's Michelle Chamuel.

Tickets for the benefit went on sale May 25 and were sold out within five minutes, but NBC News reported organizers planned to release additional tickets Wednesday.

WATCH: Due to coverage of the Bay Bridge Series: Giants vs. A's game, "Healing the Heartland," an all-star benefit from Oklahoma, will be broadcast live on TV36 at 9 p.m.

Money raised through the telethon will go directly to the United Way of Central Oklahoma, which will distribute funding to partner agencies directly engaged in helping in relief and recovery efforts for those affected by the May 20 tornado, Karla Bradshaw, a spokeswoman for the United Way of Central Oklahoma told the Associated Press.

"Those are the ones that are dealing right now with the immediate needs," Bradshaw said.

Donations have poured in to Oklahoma since two major tornadoes ripped through the state last week, killing 26 people and affecting nearly 4,000 homes, businesses and other buildings in five counties.

The Salvation Army reported Tuesday afternoon it already has raised more than $5 million in monetary donations. Separately, singer Carrie Underwood has said she is donating $1 million in proceeds from her recent Blown Away Tour to the Red Cross for disaster relief. Underwood grew up in Checotah, Okla.

The "Healing in the Heartland" benefit will be the third concert for tornado victims in Oklahoma that Shelton has taken part in. In 2011 he and fellow Oklahoma native Reba McEntire raised $500,000 with two sold out concerts for victims of the Atoka County tornadoes.
