$290M Up for Grabs in Mega Millions Jackpot

If you were to be the lucky owner of a sole winning ticket you could expect an estimated $10,000,000 annual payout over 26 years

Dreamers everywhere are paying attention to Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing. A winning ticket would net an estimated $290 million.

If you were to be the lucky owner of a sole winning ticket you could expect an estimated $10,000,000 annual payout over 26 years or a $158,445,000 cash payout according to the lottery’s website.

Unlike the Super Lotto jackpot which is California-based, the Mega Millions lottery sells tickets in 43 states.

Last year, three winning tickets were purchased in California

Tim Dicorato had more realistic plans with his potential winnings," Probably give a lot of money away. I have everything I need," he told NBCSanDiego.

If the jackpot isn't claimed by anyone over the weekend, the jackpot total will grow for next week’s drawing.

None of the tickets hit all six numbers in Tuesday's drawing which had an estimated jackpot of approximately $240 million.

Two tickets sold in San Diego County had five of the six numbers. They were purchased in El cajon and Oceanside.
