Man Rides Off on Stolen Bike After Punching Victim at 7-Eleven

Redwood City Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect who they say punched a man and stole his bike two months ago. In this surveillance video, the man wearing a blue shirt walks into 7-Eleven and moments later he appears to be yelling at someone. Police say the man confronted the victim in the parking lot and punched him in the face, knocking him off his bike, before fleeing on the stolen bike. The latter part was not caught on video. Redwood City police this week released surveillance video of a bald, stocky suspect who allegedly punched a 33-year-old man in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven, and then took off on the victim's bicycle.

The video shows a man, dressed in a blue shirt, walking into the store 400 El Camino Real on July 21 about 11:30 p.m., and talking to someone. The surveillance did not capture the alleged assault on camera. Nor did it capture the suspect riding off on the bicycle.

Anyone with information about this incident or this suspect is encouraged to contact Detective Dave Cirina at 650-780-7607. Those wanting to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
