Bay Area crews are helping search for a 58-year-old woman who went missing while hunting for mushrooms in Mendocino County.
Authorities said Mary Ann Dow was last seen Wednesday afternoon at the 7.6 mile mark on Branscomb Road, which is in a heavily forested, steep terrain area in northern Mendocino County.
Search and rescue teams from Napa, Lake, Contra Costa and San Mateo counties are helping in the search, which started early Friday morning.
Dow is described as standing 4 feet 10 inches tall, 115 pounds with reddish gray hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt and hiking shoes.
