Are you ready for some record breaking hot weather? We hope so, because the Bay Area has a hot forecast, with temperatures climbing into the 90s.
Both San Jose and Fremont may break record highs Monday. San Jose's current record is 89 degrees set back in 1998. Fremont's current record is 88 degrees set in 2009.
You can credit strengthening high pressure system and a slight offshore breeze for a very sunny and a very warm Monday by April standards.
It's looking like 70s and 80s near the coastline, and low to mid 80s from San Francisco to Oakland.
The real heat will hit the valleys and the East Bay where temperatures should climb into the high-80s to low 90s.

A developing sea breeze will kick in Tuesday and Wednesday. Once low clouds return to the coast, much cooler weather will return by the middle of the week as highs dip back into the 60s and 70s Bay Area wide by Thursday.
