Bay Area High School Marching Bands Play at London New Year's Day Parade

Two Bay Area high school marching bands rang in the new year 5,300 miles away by taking part in the annual New Year's Day Parade in London.

The students from Pittsburg High School and Oak Grove High School were invited to play before 650,000 people who lined the route. But via television, they had a bigger audience--280 million viewers.

The students were among the more than 8,000 performers.
