Bee Exhibit Coming to Oakland Museum of California

"Bees: Tiny Insect, Big Impact," a new exhibit at the Oakland Museum of California is scheduled to open Saturday, according to reports.

The Contra Costa Times reports that Bay Area beekeeping, identifying various species of bees and even hearing the "music of 'buzz pollination'" are all part of the exhibition in the museum's Gallery of California Natural Sciences.

The exhibit, which runs until Sept. 20, also has a serious side: the issue of bee population decline is part of the offerings, the newspaper reported.
