    A bicyclist was killed following a collision involving a big-rig truck Thursday in Lafayette, police said.

    The incident occurred on the 1800 block of Reliez Valley Road. Officers initially responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash. When police arrived on scene they found an injured male bicyclist on the ground. He was transported to John Muir Medical Center, where he later died, authorities said.

    Police later located the truck and driver involved in the collision. Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department at 925-283-3680.
