Big Boulders Slide Down Boulder Creek Cliff in the Santa Cruz Mountains

About a dozen people are still waiting to go home after a huge rockslide trapped them at a Buddhist retreat in the Santa Cruz mountains.

This weekend’s storm is being blamed for the rockslide on King’s Creek Road in Boulder Creek. The rocks blocking the road are so big, the county needs to bring in a contractor with a jackhammer to clear them.

For now, the only way in and out of a nearby Buddhist retreat is by foot, KSBW reported.

The staff of the Vajrapani Institute say they have enough food. Public Works is warning people to stay away from the rockslide area in case more rocks come down.
