BART police are working to determine what led to the death of a 48-year-old woman found in the bushes at the Dublin/Pleasanton BART parking structure last week, a BART police spokeswoman said.
Joy Ann Grammatica was found in the bushes by a BART police officer last Thursday after someone called around 12:30 p.m. about a body in the area, BART police said.
BART police Officer Era Jenkins said investigators are searching for possible witnesses and are reviewing video footage from the area.
Additionally, a key component of the investigation will come from an official coroner's report, expected to be released in the next few weeks, Jenkins said.
A preliminary review from the Alameda County coroner's bureau found Grammatica's cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.
Jenkins said police have not ruled out any possibilities ranging from suicide, an accidental fall to an intentional push to her death.
A LinkedIn profile page lists Joy Grammatica as an implementation manager at Verizon in the San Francisco Bay Area and shows she had been with the company since 2006.
