    San Francisco police confirmed Wednesday that they pulled a body from a lake in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco Wednesday morning.

    SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Authorities have identified a body found floating in a pond in San Francisco.

    The San Francisco Chronicle reports that officials said Thursday the body belonged to 45-year-old Joseph Munoz of Sausalito.

    The San Francisco Police Department says officers received a call Wednesday morning about a body in the pond at Golden Gate Park.
     
    Police say the medical examiner is still investigating the cause of death.
     
    Investigators have charged three young transients with killing a 23-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man in the same park.
